Trail markers, short menus, walkie talkies...all sound like great ideas. Part of the fun is riding the trails. I had already told that kid and his buddy once that I had to be the second boat to direct traffic to the next stop. He blew past me, missed the hole and ran clean up on dry ground. At the last stop I told him and his buddy to pack up their shit and go home if they couldn't drive or follow directions any better than that so I guess I'm the mean bald guy.

We were taking it easy I didn't get over half throttle the whole run

Clay runs us single file at caddo. Slower boats in front so the pace guy doesn't leave anyone behind. Guy at the back and various in the middle that know the route have same flags.

Only one guy had to take a different route because he brought a tugboat to a timber run...lol

3-4 boats knew the route well, at start of ride , these boats were pointed out to all assembled. We had distinct orange flags . At any point in the ride we were to lead a pack or direct any one lost. Happens all the time. , for the group to get seperated. We catch up to the logjam or lost group. , reroute and get back on course . I myself would love to come to an organized ride that way . Put some faces to names , and see new places .

I like the idea of pre ordering burgers. I think we need to ditch the one way in one way out stops. There is plenty of us that know the lake and we need to direct others better, maybe all have same flag or have spots where we stop and point like mack did. Also we need to have someone with a tent at the ramp to give instructions as to where to pay for the poker run. I know I told several folks what to do before they ever put in. And also tell them about the raffle after the run because some knew they didn't win and left. Maybe we need to meet a few weeks before next year and make a plan instead of trying to do it the day of.

Hey gonna open this back up I need some insight. One of our big rides here in SC was cancelled this year so a decent group of us are talking making this run. Where can I stay that's close and clean. And family friendly?

Clay has a very good system setup for the Caddo ride. For the amount of people and complexity of the trails it was super smooth.

I have a suggestion. Use comfort colors t-shirts. The Hanes ones shrink so bad I can't wear last years shirt by the time the next run comes around.

Eddie said it best one time about big jims. It is somebody's signature and funny as hell. The cabins really aren't bad at all. It is kinda trashy which is why it is my favorite place on earth.

We stayed in a cabin 1 time at a local lake. The "clean" sheets had sand all over them. When we took the blankets down off the shelf they had sand all over them. My ol lady and having that no more lol
