 fuel problems
2013 35 gtr I can run all day long half throttle but if you run wot it will run out of gas and die. changed all the fuel lines and ran it out of water wide open for 15 minutes with no problem. put it back in water and it did the same thing . any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

 Re: fuel problems
Have you cleaned the carb? As in remove the carb, remove jets from bowl, clean jets, passages, and try again? IF not do so.

 Re: fuel problems
Have you tried pumping the primer bulb while running to see if it runs out of Fuel? If pumping Primer bulb keeps it running - air leak or fuel pump.

 Re: fuel problems
I cant find no leaks in the fuel line that is why I changed it and all the clamps. when left sitting a few days the bulb looks like it is collapsing not hooked up to the tank. I was wondering why it only does this in the water going wide open and it wont do it out of water ? If the carb was dirty you would think it would do this in or out of the water.

 Re: fuel problems
You don't have a load on the motor when out of the water. Did you pull the jets and clean them like Maxxis said?

 Re: fuel problems
Greetings from N.C.
I had this same issue happen over a year ago.
I sent you a PM to explain what we did, and how we figured what was causing this issue in my MM.

 Re: fuel problems
Had the same problem on my old motor. Ended up being the fuel pump. Put an electric pump on it and solved the problem. Ran like a champ after that.

 Re: fuel problems
Hmmmm! That is why even with an electric fuel pump always put a primer bulb inline so if the fuel pump(electric or pulse)fails you can always pump the carb bowl full of gas to get back. Yeah and if an EFI fuel pumps fails that doesn't work.(I wont think it would due to the higher pressure required)

 Re: fuel problems
Only thing is if you idle a lot... thos e pump will overpower the float at times and can flood the intake manifold with fuel.

 Re: fuel problems
thanks for the tips guys but it turned out to be a bad ball valve in the primer bulb. I took the bulb out and I ran without it and it ran all day without a issue. the question now is why would you have a bulb on it except for pumping it if the fuel pump goes out?
