Once a year thousands of volunteers gather along the Texas waterways to do their part in cleaning up the environment and participate in the largest statewide event to educate the public about the importance of our water resources. Trash Bash occurs rain or shine, unless there are severe weather conditions.

Time
Trash Bash is a half day event and begins between 8:00/8:30 am in the morning and ends at 1:30 in the afternoon. Start time, registration and end time vary from location to location. Please go to the individual cleanup sites for details.

How to...
To get started, pick a cleanup site near you.Volunteer at any of the sites and receive:

LOUISIANA ZOO - they have the critter in a special enclosure or habitat with a little plaque giving the Common Name - Scientific Name - and the best three ways to cook and serve that there critter over rice....

This is a good cause and whether your able to make it this weekend to a cleanup location or not just do your part by not littering and picking up any trash you may see while riding around.

It doesn't matter if your in Texas or Louisiana we all want our waters beautiful and unharmed for generations to come.

Just got back home from our local cleanup....

Had kids bussed in from 3 school districts - Cub, Boy & Girl Scout troups
and over 300 people involved at our location alone.... Best part was the
kids outnumbered (and outworked) the adults - learning hopefully a lifetime
lesson on litter prevention and to put "Waste in it's Place" !!!
