Post 1854 gator tail extreme
Picked up my new 1854 extreme pushed by a 2018 37hp efi xd thursday, got out of work this weekend so the girlfriend and I drug her to Texas for the opener. We hunted and rode around in east Matty bay.

Load: 3 dozen dekes, 2 ice chest, 11 gal fuel , myself 220, and the girlfriend who will not be weighted in.

Motor is brand new. Started with 2hrs on her ended trip with 6. I do have a worked prop on there by the dealer who I bought the boat from. Motor is stock as well

First morning running deep water and shallow 25-26

2nd day was much better, took one ice chest out and moved some weight around the boat and got 28-29 deep water , didn't get her on long shallow runs so don't know top end speed with that.

Can't wait to put it to the test this weekend with the LA opener, I will be sure to get some good speeds with 4-5 guys and a hunt load for yall.

I debated with myself for months before pulling the trigger on a new rig but we fished and hunted the boat all weekend and other than a few things I want to add to the rig it worked perfectly and could not be happier.

Oh and I will get GPS pics to confirm all as stated.

Very interested in your post. I have my eye on a 1854 xd as well. Can’t wait to see your progress as you go. Thanks for the input.

This is similar to what I get in my boat. I'm sure it will get faster once you wear your prop in a bit. I'm curious as to what that 4-5 man load will do. My boat hates it. Takes a good 5 minutes to get on plane. Have to move people around to get the weight in the right places.
