Hurricane Michael
Figured I’d open this one up. Anyone going to the panhandle or see any groups coordinating efforts?

Re: Hurricane Michael
The need for rescues is going to be farther north where flash flooding occurs. Panhandle needs USAR teams clearing buildings, not a place for civilians right now.
The water came through and left. Georgia on up is the ones that will need all the rescues.
It would be a good idea to send the cajun "navy" that way instead of to florida, if anyone is planning on going.

Hurricane Michael
Another thing: Michael may not be reflected there, unless storm surge wrapped back around, since Western Lake was just west of the landfall point. Id be curious to see if they can find examples farther east.
The return period is probably about every 100-150 years on average for an extreme hurricane in the Panhandle and Big Bend.

*facepalm* Go away. You're nearly a year late and completely irrelevant to the question posed.
