Prop throwing grease
I greased the lower unit on my GTR and now grease is coming out near the prop. I did this when it was decently cold out (15 degrees) and shortly after the grease began to come out, it stopped coming out and I heard a “pop” from what sounded like inside the lower unit. Shortly after it began to come out again. Is the grease coming out near the prop normal, or should I be concerned about a bad seal(s). Also, I read to keep pumping the grease in until you notice the new grease coming out, but after 1-1/2 tubes it seemed to keep coming out the same, dark color. Should I just keep pumping away, or let it be? Thanks in advance!
P.S I’m new to the mud motor world and am not very mechanically inclined, so take it easy on me! Haha.

Re: Prop throwing grease
Sounds like you forgot to take the Allen screw out of the shaft housing and blew the seal. If you still removed the screw, you probably have a bad seal

Re: Prop throwing grease
I took the screw out. Looks like I should look into getting some seals and finding a good how to on swapping them out.
