Post Anyone shortened a mud buddy handle ?
I just traded my outboard for a 23 mud Buddy hd .really only thing don’t like is the really long handle mud buddy has , I run on a boat with Regular transom not hunt deck , been thinking about shortening wires inside and cutting it down 8 -10 inches or so just make more comfortable, anyone ever shortened their own handle on mud buddy ?

you're going to find it whole lot more difficult to turn under power. I wouldn't cut the wires right away. I think you will end up regretting it. If the handle worked a lot shorter MB would probably make it that way...

Not necessarily a valid reason. Mudbuddy has plenty of design quirks that would work better for some people if they were changed. So do the other manufacturers. Gatortails have shorter handles and work fine for many. Each user has to figure out what works for them. I would leave the wires long in case you dont like it, but I wouldn't worry about more difficult to turn. If it's trimmed right it shouldn't be an issue when running fast, and once you slow down, leverage wont matter as much.

That handle sucks for beating and banging in the woods putting around in the dark. Hard turn and the handle is outside the boat, catching limbs, vines

If you want to swirl wine and stay in a room where politics and investment diversity are discussed (with no roaches) lake lanier is near Atlanta. If you wanna have an awesome time and maybe stay in a room where children were conceived on one side and someone got stabbed over an 8-ball on the other come on down I got a can of raid. :D

You got that right! It's a long reach sometimes.
