I have a 25HP GTR not a big block, Subaru engine. Thoroughly NOT impressed with the lack of everything from it.
I’m not in a position to spend a lot of money on a new motor at the moment.

I do however Work for a Generac dealer so parts are cheap.
I can get a brand new Generac motor for around $800. Not sure about the tapered shaft though??
I know some guys on here have messed with them.

So is it worth it if your on a limited budget?

I have a Generac V-Twin on a GTR and I like it. I have a Mikuni 45mm on it and it runs good.
I had a modified Briggs but it blew up on me. Only problem with Generac is its hard to find parts.

Thanks for the reply Charlie. I ended up ordering a new Briggs 35. I figured being able to find parts at a moments notice would be better in the long run.
