Went through the old man's tackle box this weekend and snapped a few pics of some of his old lures. |

Man you have a couple thousand dollars worth of lures.Put them in a shadow box and pass them down too your kids.Most would sale for $200+ maybe more.Coastal Conservation would love to get there hands on them...Including me. |

He gave me those when I was about 14 or 15 and ate up with fishing. I took one of the Heddon lures and caught an absolute mess of smallmouth with it. And....lost it. The Creek Chub lures (big wooden) were the same brand that caught the world record bass. Grandpa went to Purdue with the son of one of the owners and he had a ton of those. He lost a bunch over the years and that's what was left. Runs in the family I guess. We went to a farm pond one morning, last time we fished together. He had that green reel and was casting a plug. I was fishing a texas rigged Mann's Jelly Worm in motor oil with a hot pink tail. He laughed at me and my rubber snake. He had about 6 fish over 5lbs before I hooked my first 14" fish. |

That is just too cool. I also got some from my dad. Plans are to put them in a shadow box. You should think of doing the same. I too just love old stuff, some much so I find myself enjoying me more and more. |
