 Re: engine oil
been running the oil the girlfriend has in the drawer on her side of the bed that she got from Adam & Eve but that stuff is so slick your piston will slip out of the cylinder at high rpm's

 Re: engine oil
I prefer water based lubricants. Much safer for the environment, and easier to make. If that's too much of a jump, 3 in 1 oil works well too.
Do a search. There are at least 3 oil threads within the last year. All offer good info, as well as some humor

15w40 Routella. Good enough for 100K peterbuilt, good enough for 7k mudmotor IMO

 Re: engine oil
You can go 360 degrees on this and never get the same answer twice. Unless your warantee specifies using a particular brand, use what you have confidence in, and as a rule of thumb, use a heavier weight oil in the summer (heat will thin it down) and a lighter weight in the winter as cold will cause it to thicken. The most critical time oil plays its part is on initial startup. If your oil is thicker in winter, you're not getting good lubrication until the motor gets it warmed up.
