| Post subject: | Broken Valve Cover Bolt |
Hi guys.. I was going through my motor last night, checking valve lash, changing oil, checking spark plugs, etc.... Everything checked out great and when I was putting the valve covers back on, I broke one of the bolts.. Are these standard bolts from the hardware store or do I need to get a special briggs bolt from a dealer?? Thanks in advance. |

Its a metric flange bolt. If you can find the correct length, you can replace it with one of the same size from a good HW store. OEM replacement is Briggs and Stratton PN# 807357 < $2 http://www.jackssmallengines.com/search ... 1&q=807357 |

I believe it's a 30mm, m8-20 (got mine from tractor supply, but the package is at the house so I can't check it at the moment). |
