Longtail Clearance
I have a alumacraft waterfowler, want to put a longtail on it. However, my alumacraft I a short transom and has a hatch over the batter/gas. I don't have an issue with the tiller hitting the seat but do have an issue with the bottom of the handle and motor hitting the hatch, so I wanted to know if one brand longtail sits up higher on the transom then others.
We but my buddies older go-devil on to see and it was an issue but he also did not have the bracket that allows the motor to swing all the way around, and thinking that might give it a little more height. Or do some of the other brands work on these boats such as beavertail, mudbuddy, backwater, etc?

Re: Longtail Clearance
I think the backwater setups have more handle clearance than some of the competitors...
