My buddy who is a semi mechanic says you gotta use stainless hardware and use lots of antiseize, is this true?

I used them on my blind because that what came with it. They kinda work but I didn't care for them.

Rivnuts are aluminum and work very well when installed properly. The key is to NOT overtighten them when setting them. SS bolts are fine to use and recommended to cut down on rust. Antiseize is not necessary, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to use a little.
