Uncle j boat build. Adding a fuel gauge.
I'm having an uncle j boat built and was wondering if anyone ever added a fuel gauge to one after it was built. I'd text him and ask but he's away from the office on personal business.

I having one built also, They are putting sending unit in the tank for me, I will have to wire it up. I think when your talking built in tank yes fuel gauge is a definite plus!!!!

No wires or anything. Just measure the deepest part of the tank and order accordingly. I'll try to find the one I ordered and post it

U may have bend or tweek the float bar to get set perfect. But it went in without a problem. I suggest getting some Seal-All and put on both sides of the supplied rubber gasket.

I put a sight glass on my aluminum tank with some brass fittings and a piece of tygon tubing... Cost less than 5$, won't ever read wrong, when the tubing yellows in a year or so I'll replace it again for a few cents. Keep it simple...

Re: Uncle j boat build. Adding a fuel gauge.
I had Jason install a sender and I did the rest. I just didn't want to bother him because he was getting married at the time. it all worked out in the end but I wasn't sure if they would weld the tank in which would screw me on a sender.
