 Re: Help
It can be done. Figure on cost of a motor (8 grand or so), then another 3-5k for mods, plus some prop work. Bayou surface drives, Texas mud motors, delta performance should all be able to help you figure out what you ought to do for mods. There's a few of us here that can help you do it yourself if you want to turn your own wrench and stick with a carbed motor.

 Re: Help
Where you located? I've got a bit of a beast we can put on your boat for a test run to let you see what to expect, and if you need to go further than I did.

 Re: Help
Don't let Russ hang that starter eating time-bomb on your hull For real though... It would be good for informational purposes, despite its appetite for starters...

 Re: Help
I am running similar to what you described right now. Mine is a 20x60 CC 3/16 bottom 1/8 sides and .100 sub floor and 2 7ft rod boxes, 2 rear compartments, 22 gal tank and a 6ft front deck. I'm running 1 motor for now until I can get duals. I have a gen 3 prodrive with a stage 2 done by Jamie. Empty boat I run 26mph. 2 man hunting load 23mph. 3 man hunting load 18mph. 4 man hunting load/w 2dogs 13mph all deep water speeds. If I can find shallow water I have seen 22mph with 4 man hunt load hope this gives you an idea

 Re: Help
K. I've got a friend in walker that's wanting to try my motor on his boat. When I send or bring it down to him, you're welcome to try it as well, or go for a ride with us. His is 20.5 with a 54" bottom, so it'll give you an idea.
