This off season I'm looking to finally get a true mud hull, Right now I'm running a 16x48 grizzly with a gen3 36hp Prodrive, for the new boat I've narrowed it down to 3 different builders, uncle j,phowler and prodigy. The boats not going to be anything fancy, 18x54 pointed bow/v-rake (whatever u want to call it)rear hunt deck,open floor plan with one seat pod also a extended front hunt deck but not sure how long I want it(opinions welcomed) I'm basically trying to build a boat that doesn't have a bunch of wasted space or compartments I'll just fill with junk. Might add a gun box if it's adjustable an removable. I've seen a lot more Prodrive motors hung off the back of phowler an uncle j boats than I have prodigy hulls. Out of the 3 company's is one better than the other performance wise to hang a Prodrive off the back? Also looking into throwing some delta heads, carb and voodoo exhaust on the motor. What kind of speeds should I expect? I kno its not a speedster to begin with but I figured I should be in the high 20s? Any an all advise is welcomed, thanks guys. All 3 seem to be great boat builders. Have you thought about a prodrive hull? With the upgrades your talking about I would think high 20s would be normal with any of the builders you mentioned. |
