I have my opinion on the situation but I want to hear it from you guys. If you had a 37 SWOMP and were having a custom hull built, what size would you go with? Going to be a pointed bow for timber running. I want a good balance of speed and load carrying. I'm pretty set on a 1748. Unless someone here can convince me otherwise. I have no desire to go any narrower than 48" and really don't want to be longer than 17' for storage purposes. |

Sounds like you have your mind made up but an 1848 would be all around better. |

I have an 18/48 with a removable gun box and extended front deck. Speed only drops off a little with three people and a hunt load. Works for me. (BW 35 LS) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Frank, I am also thinking of a smaller boat . Although I will not run timber that much I am considering 18x48 or a 17x52. A 20x60 is a little big but it will carry a load. |
