Put a .080 Aluminum floor in the father n laws fishing boat. Also used the anti fatigue mats from Rural King as floor covering. Made as same material as hydroturf. Feels about the same. Other have had good results. I plan to do my 1848 GTB soon. We used Regular Contact cement. Piece on front deck is hydroturf B stock. Been on there for 4 years. Looks good, I put the same stuff down about a year sand a half ago. As long as it stays out of the sun it will last a long time. |

I used the same stuff and it has held up very well. I put it down with contact cement and its permanent. The boat is covered indoors except when I'm using it so I can't comment on how it will hold up in the sun. My real reason for using it was for insulation under my feet and so the wet dog didn't freeze to the hull anymore. Bottom line, I really like it. For the price I can replace it a lot for the cost of hydroturf. Now... hydroturf is a lot different, but for my use it has been good. |

The concept of the aluminum floor is increasing due to more durability. Some people face difficulty while installing such floor but your pictures with made it easy to understand the installation. Thanks for sharing the pictures here. |
