I have considered just having my gunnels sprayed. The paint doesn't play well with trees. My boats shiny down both sides

I rode in a few Xpress bay boats and love that paint. I researched it and could not find the actual brand they use. If y'all have any leads or ability to get some I recommend it...and please share with me.

If you wanna go the cheap route you can roll on hurculiner I sprayed mine on with a gun I bought at the auto paint Store and the brand was u Pol raptor it's held up pretty well if I was gonna do it over I would glue in the gray foam antifatigue mats much cooler than bedliner It gets hot in the summer so I put down wet towels for the dogs

The raptor has held up pretty well you can paint it but it pretty much just rubs off the top and stays in the voids

I think you can add colorant to some of the spray in liners

I have used a product called grizzly grip with great success. I have done two boats with it and had zero issues. Unfortunately they were both fiberglass boats so I don't know if the flex of an aluminum boat would cause any issues. It comes in several camo colors. Give them a call, they may be able to tell you how it holds up on aluminum. I am sure you would need to zinc chromate a bare hull but it holds well to adherent paint. Just my 2 pennies.
