New Gator tail 1860
Just picked up my new gator tail yesterday. It's the 1860 with the GT 35. I had the hunt deck added on the back and also the polling platform. In the inside I had the rod box and the gun box put in for extra storage. Took it out in a local river today and it ran great. The gator tail guys did an awesome job and it runs excellent. Had up to four guys in it and we were still getting good speed. Like to thank all the gator tail guys who helped put this boat together and will definitely suggest it to others.

Nice rig, what speeds are you getting. How do you remove the rear platform?

Re: New Gator tail 1860
I will post speeds and review after this weekend. I did not have a GPS on her 1st time out. I think I'm really going to like the hunt deck. The poling platform will be great when I'm fishing the flats down in POC.

WestEndAngler, I tried to send you a PM but it is stuck in the Outbox. Not sure why it won't "send". What trolling motor you have on your rig?

Re: New Gator tail 1860
WestendAngler, here's a few closeups of the poling platform. My hunt deck is not sealed as you can see from the inside shots. I am really glad a went with the hunt deck. It is nice not getting a boat full of water when in reverse.

Re: New Gator tail 1860
Thanks for the photos! I'm probably going to have a shop here in Houston build mine, my only concern is that I have floatation in my hunt deck and the two rear pods so bolting the platform may result in some water leak into my hunt deck which I want to avoid.
Sorry to get specific but what are the dimensions of the platform (where you stand) that Kyle & Hoyt built for you? Is the T-Bar (grab handle) removeable?

Re: New Gator tail 1860
I'll measure the platform when i get home this evening and yes the leaning post is removable. I'll take a pic of that as well.
