Well, the river is rising again... Mud will not be there but certain areas that are more tidal will be shallower etc.

There are a lot of new areas we've been exploring lately, challenging runs and obstacles which will be sure to challenge any person regardless of motor.

As mentioned before there is great Saltwater fishing as well as Fresh water all within minutes of the launch so I highly suggest you bring a rod & reel or jugs and be prepared to have a great time.

The area has a lot of trails and paths places to explore etc. Cypress trees large lakes and is all fairly easy to navigate.

I'm going to be putting maps together for everyone to hand out that Saturday AM. Also will be putting up markers that will be referenced on the map so people can split off without being afraid of losing everyone...

We more than likely will have the Crawfish going on at Hugo Point seeing as they have a Pavilion over there & restrooms (non port-a-potty)

LEGAL NOTE --- not sure about beer in the park / pretty sure it is a no no --- styropoam cups will be the attire of the day --- no cans or bottles....

Legal Note --- ANYTHING south of I-10 including the river
is considered SALT WATER by the wardens --- NO trotlines
or jugs and you MUST have a TEXAS SALTWATER FISHING
STAMP on your license...... North of I-10 you can fish
without the stamp or lay our the jugs and trotlines....

They love to write those tickets ! ! !


SO... Keep your beer in the cooler... Pour into a cup and you should be good. No open containers in the park area but you can have CUPS of whatever (ain't Texas great )

BTW- You can legally be driving a boat & drinking at same time... Just don't be drunk and get pulled over you will get a ticket and probably go to jail or be escorted back to ramp.

Game Wardens will be in area (their office is minutes away) I will be informing them of our ride and plans for safety purposes also out of respect. So if you get stopped show them your fire extinguisher and life jackets and registration should they ask for it.

Our last ride we all got stopped once together and everyone showed a life jacket and we were good to go.

Also... Don't mess with Texas... We don't litter here. Keep your trash in a place on your boat so that it won't go flying out everywhere... We shoot litter bugs on site

Had 32 peeps at the boil I did two weeks ago and we polished of 4 sacks at around 140 lbs, plus sausage, corn potatoes and mushrooms.
