That's usually the "reason" but I don't agree with it. Hell all them faggot 14' edge boats with 50hp outboards running through timber at 4 in the morning make a lot of noise too

Re: Arkansas proposes rule changes for next year.
The removal of shell restrictions on all WMAs, The removal of reduced waterfowl bag limits on all WMAs, The prohibition of surface-drive motors on all WMAs with a delayed effective date to allow owners of such motors time to find alternative motors for their boats on WMAs. An adjustment to WMA access to allow hunters to stop hunting at noon, and be off the inundated areas of the WMA by 1 p.m.

Re: Arkansas proposes rule changes for next year.
Ridiculous. This hurts both locals and oosers in the pocketbook with no explanation nor reasoning
I hunt public NE Arkie and at least 1/3 of the boats at the ramp have surface drives
Wtf are we all supposed to do, buy a new pussy ass outboard rig and continue to litter the forest with lower units
I would assume they are bitching about noise but they already have Db restrictions. Shit those hopped up megas jacked up with exhaust above the waterline can be heard from much further away.
What’s next??? no two strokes, only four stroke outboards? 20 gauges only? No loud calling? Decoy limits? Morning draws? How many more f’ing rules do we need to duck hunt??? Rant over.

Problem is once the liberals get hold of it, it is always some more laws needed to fix it!!! Its never their ideas or laws that caused the problem. Liberalism is a disease and needs to be cured or quarantined!!!!

Re: Arkansas proposes rule changes for next year.
“I say regulate the shit out of it. Let them shoot themselves in the foot. When their income goes down from it they will have learned a big lesson. ”.....
Dude this is Arkansas. not known for being quick learners. This is not sound logic, no offense. Nor is banning surface drives.
As a Missouri resident who hunts in at least five different states every year, I could care less what they charge me, just don’t slash my tires. We just want to place to hunt public timber when everything else locks up north, And would prefer not to have to buy another motor to do it.
Creating more laws and hope that someone learns a lesson and creates even more laws then doesn’t help the resource that is the internationally migrating greenhead
