You don't really want to go back and fourth between ethanol and non ethanol and you wont gain anything by doing so either. If anything, you would gain something by going the other way and switching to E85. What were you hoping for?

Just always heard it was better and helped the engine run better than E85. But if its no difference then never mind. Thought the positives we worth it.

The auto parts don't have the 5 gallon buckets of race fuel? We got it at car quest, and O'reillys

We got a dirt track in town and racing is kinda popular, that might be why they carry it. Go to the parts house and ask

Have you tried pure-gas.org to try to find a location with non-ethanol fuel?

Brandon, the closest place to get non-ethanol gas to us is in Sulphur. They have 3 stations there

The reason people say run non ethanol is because ethanol breaks down FAST. It is more likely to create condensation, especially in an aluminum tank (which means water in the fuel). It will also separate and part of it will kinda turn into a jelly like substance. Always keep your tanks topped off and it will help with that. Also try to use your motor as much as possible and keep fresh gas in it. I have to go a long ways to get non ethanol fuel, so I run the crappy ethanol mix. I run a fuel water separator and so far haven't had any issues at all with water or my carb getting gummed up.

I dont run my boat every week I run it a few times a month. So I run the 100 AV GAS in mine. It costs 2X as much but I dont have to worry about the shelf life of it and it doesnt contaminate and laminate my carbourator like the stinking pump gas. It has worked great so far and my carb is nice and shiny on the inside.

Plus it has lead in it which kills any potential of me having children which is also a huge bonus.

Is it ok to run e85 in a stock briggs? I thought e10 was the most ethanol that you should run with a motor not designed to run e85.

I don't know. My buddy kept telling me it wouldn't take much to "convert it" to run on E85. Think it just needs the compression required to ignite it, but I'm not really sure. I learn as I go and I didn't really care much about it so never looked to much into it. Google it and report back!
