Re: Double band
I killed mine just west of Greenville, MS Dec 2010. It was banded in Nauvoo, IL 3/17/2009 (one day before yours). Since yours was banded in IL too I am willing to bet it was banded in the same location by the same group (Dr. Al Afton of LSU). Odd how we are from the same town, and both got our first bands on Double banded Dos Gris banded a day apart in the same location.
Congratulations!!

Re: Double band
I killed a banded woodduck last week behind the house on a creek maybe 15 yards across, Sucka came all the way from Sexton, Wisconsin and its the second banded duck I've killed back there.

Re: Double band
Congrats on the Jewelry. I had read an article about the double banded dogs, where they used a stainless band on one leg and a standard aluminum on the other to see if the Stainless ones will hold up better. Is that the case with yours?

Re: Double band
That's awesome! The one I killed last year was banded in Illinois, but I'd have to check the certificate to see where the one I got year before last was banded. The ones I got had one stainless and one aluminum band, I lost one of the stainless ones when the cord with bands on my call lanyard got hung up and popped.

Re: Double band
That's awesome. I have been hunting since 1983 and have never killed a banded bird. One day maybe.
