Any reason why you went with the 23 instead of the 35?

What do you care about what a bunch of guys on the internet think about your decision? You had some reason you went with that motor, so hang it on your hull and run it. If you enjoy your boat, that is all that matters.

yea,is a little late jus wondering if anybody could tell me possible pros and cons got the 23 cause it was lighter and i dont need speed as much as light weight. this is my 1st surface drive and really dont know much about em. lookin for any help i can get/ i also didnt think my boat would take a 35.

16' min. for the length, ask around. More than you and one other person that thing will plow like a tug. Ex-owner of a 15/48 w23GD and a 16/36 w/23GT its hard to believe what that extra foot will do. Just my 2cents, good luck.

it should run just fine! i got 2 friends that run 15x42's with the 23 mini and they both run 26-28 mph all day. 23mph 2 guys lab and 9 dozen dekes. but yes the longer boats do perform better for loads. and theres just more room.
