 just purchased new mud buddy 23 hp LA mud special good idea? or did I mess up? puttin it on a 15/54 alumaweld flat bottom open boat not very heavy

Re: just purchased new mud buddy 23 hp LA mud special yea,is a little late jus wondering if anybody could tell me possible pros and cons got the 23 cause it was lighter and i dont need speed as much as light weight. this is my 1st surface drive and really dont know much about em. lookin for any help i can get/ i also didnt think my boat would take a 35.

Re: just purchased new mud buddy 23 hp LA mud special 16' min. for the length, ask around. More than you and one other person that thing will plow like a tug. Ex-owner of a 15/48 w23GD and a 16/36 w/23GT its hard to believe what that extra foot will do. Just my 2cents, good luck.

Re: just purchased new mud buddy 23 hp LA mud special it should run just fine! i got 2 friends that run 15x42's with the 23 mini and they both run 26-28 mph all day. 23mph 2 guys lab and 9 dozen dekes. but yes the longer boats do perform better for loads. and theres just more room.
