 gaskets
can anyone tell me a good website where theyr buying valve cover gaskets and oil filters for 29,31,and 35 vanguards.

Darrel I just use the filters from walmart,as far as the valve cover gaskets never had to get any. What the hell you doing to that thing?

Go to any Briggs Stratton dealer, (lawnmower etc.). They have the original filters and the valve cover gakets.

Good luck finding anyone that stocks parts for the big block Briggs. Most will have to order the parts themselves so you might as well have parts sent to your house. I used these folks for a few things I have needed so far. I use the stock filters so Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart will have the them along with plugs. http://www.outdoordistributors.com/Brig ... smain.html

i know ill regret tinkering with it because once you start it never stops. hopefully ill be up again in a week or so then we can go make a run

That carb kit won't do you much good if your compression is that lopsided. Get your heads fixed.

no, those numbers are for 2 motors, one motor (sd) has 90 psi in both cylinders. and the lt has 140 in each cylinder. i did the carb 1st to try to gain a couple top speed mph since im only getting about 26 tops at 3600-3650 or so rpm.

sure is, wot out water i get 4100 but in water w/ 1 person i average 3500, i was lucky to get it to 3600-3650 a few times but when i do trim it up that much i start losing speed
