 Modded 32PD, which carb?
Running a 32 PD with BPS cam, heads decked .055, valve work, and a gutted exhaust. On an 1848 Geaux, I'm running a strong 30 solo and carry a load well.
The problem I'm having is A., it does not idle well, especially under load, B, the throttle response on the low end is awful, and C, if I'm trying to get unstuck, I have to piss around with the throttle or it dies as soon as I'm in gear and have to restart it.
My 32 carb is getting tossed...will I notice any difference with a 36 carb? I'm also looking at a Mikuni hsr42. I've heard some guys are running the 44mm without an accelerator pump, and have had success.
Just looking for ideas, as 775 is a lot of dough right now.

 Re: Modded 32PD, which carb?
The 36 carb runs very well, IMO, with the couple of tricks that db8 has posted on here several times. My carb idles under 1000, 700ish in gear, and gets off idle and rolling pretty smooth.
The other widely available option is the mikuni. Plenty of other carbs available to tinker with, but no other kits that I am aware of.

I don't have the tools to drill out the jets without some serious amounts of duct tape and prayers!

Find ya an EVT intake and have the flange changed to accept an S&S Super E carb.
