Found something under valve cover

 Found something under valve cover Can anyone tell me what this is? I found it near the rockers when I was checking my valve lash (1st time since getting Iron Mountain heads 3 or 4 years ago). I'm 95% sure that it didn't fall in after the fact, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. I did have to stop and cover up my engine to go run errands a few times before I eventually saw it. It's small, round, reddish, plastic like and seems to be threaded on the inside. Any ideas where it came from? Thanks

Re: Found something under valve cover If it's valve stem seal and prob is, checheck bottom of your rockers for marks where pushrods jumped out of place.this will smash the seals. I've seen this a few times. If it has I would recommend installing new pink springs with shims
