Post bildge pump
Whats up just wandering if anybody is having some of the same issues as me? I have a 500gal rule bildge and is seems absolutly useless to the crap that ends up in the back of my boat. It had a small wire screen inside of the blue cap but that was constantly plugging up so i took it out and the just started plugging up the pump with pieces of grass and small sticks and blowing fueses. I really didnt have to many good ideas on how to fix this other than make some kinda cover where only the water will come into contact with the pump and maybe that will help. It gets aggravating having to always watch to see how much water you throw over the back while froggin. I like to just stomp on it and get out of the holes. Just thought i would throw this topic out and see if anybody had any info.

Modify your transom to deflect most of da water from coming over and in da boat.

Build Your transom 12" higher on each side. This will decrease the amount of water coming into the boat.

I have an Attwood 1200 gl. I never needed it for anything other than being caught in a heavy rain. Don't get water over the transom. But even with a boat full for leaves and sticks it never clogged up when I used it.
