Flotation pods work really too damn good.
i put floatation pods on my 1440 alumacraft for fear that my 16hp gd would make the ass end drag. "i fish bowfish in really rocky shallow rivers" In fact it did the opposite my transome drafts 1 1/2 inches of water and the bow 4 inches. ive shifted all weight to the back of the boat but if i run into rapids the passengers have to go to the back of the boat or i'll sub the ol' girl. any ideas? it works perfect if im by myself but 3 people just wont work anymore.

get a wider boat, then u won't need pods. put gastank and battery in rear of boat.

Get heavier friends Drill a hole / drain plug and add water as ballast as mentioned above. Either that or cut them off and make them smaller.

Re: Flotation pods work really too damn good.
Yea got to looking yesterday and i think i'll cut out flotation under rear seat and stick my batteries. the float pods from alumaworxs really work. 200 lbs flotation with a 165 lbs motor. the batteries will add ballast like a small outboard. should even me out. And yes i fish in a river that is regulated by dams and power tubines. if they decide to turn on say three or four wheels i gotta fight rapids. ive seen the water two miles from the dam rise 6-8 feet in 5 minutes. but you gots to go where the fish are.
