fausse point
PM Dead Animal, he lives in loreauville. I don't know what his work schedule consists of but he may be able to show you some places. Never hurts to ask.

Re: Where to ride around loreauville?
I've found (when i'm not lost in the metropolis) it's best to take hwy 86 back west out of L'ville and then back north to Lafayette...just say'n...when i'm riding around L'ville...
seriously though, go east out of L'ville on 3242 which is Lake Dauterive Rd...follow until it dead ends...10-15 min...it literally dead ends at a landing...check it on google maps...i think it is the closest landing from L'ville...but i'm not a local...so one of these coon-asses will correct me........................DIRECTLY!! Re: Where to ride around loreauville?
I appreciate the suggestions but I'm somewhat familiar with fausse point. I've been there twice. I'm hoping I could get some pointers on where to find some good mud. If fausse pointe is low Thats definately where I'll go. But if there's some where better right know I'm willing to drive a little bit

with all the south winds lately, the water will be at least normal level. the back of sandy cove and calvins cove will still have shallows and lots of grass to play in.
whatever brand of motor u are getting, the shop guys will give u sum good spots to play in.
good luck.

Re: Where to ride around loreauville?
I don't know how it is looking this week, but I rode the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Mother's Day weekend and the water was much higher than last time I was there in 08. Ended up sticking the push pole in the ground and pulling it back up, just to show the g/f what the mud looked like (it is much finer than we have in SC) because we couldn't find any to run in. I hope it works out better for you!!
If it is high everywhere though and you haven't ridden Henderson Swamp, we made that trip the last day we were there and it was a pretty good ride. Amazing though how many people had apparently never seen a mud motor down there...had people asking me questions just like they do here, which was a bit mind boggling!
Hope you have a good ride, wherever you go!!
