 oil filter? Fram or Briggs?

Post oil filter? Fram or Briggs?
i am looking to change the oil in my Mini 23 vanguard and was looking at running a Fram filter instead of a briggs filter and thoughts? i did some research and found a Fram # PH8170

any down falls to running a diffrent filter?

Fram is a poor quilty filter in all applications.

no price is not the option, i work for Honeywell and Honeywell owns Fram, just putting my money into my stocks :geek:

i only run Fram on my trucks and i have a suburban that has 175,000 on it and all its had is Fram filters

I am in the Auto/Heavy Equipment repair business. I wouldn't sell a Fram filter to my worst enemy or my worst customer. They suck. Search on line for the test results on their quality. Epic FAIL.

I think it is unanimous. I used a fram once- it leaked in the first 5 hours! Never again.

cut the two apart and look how they are constructed and materials used. You will never buy a Fram again. Also I have heard something about Briggs warranties and only using Briggs filters?...?

Yea i'm gonna agree with the other guys. A Wix filter is about 12 bucks but worth it. i wouldnt put a fram on anything. I run mobil one 15w 50 and a wix.
