Post Trail Cameras
Due to lack of participation on the ducks behalf... I'm mad as hell at some deer this year. Gettin geared up to put the smack down this season and I'm interested in gettin a few trail cams out now. Back when they first came out years ago, I had tried one out & swore I'd never fool with them again. It was like a drug addiction. Constantly goin check it, exposing a whole roll of film just to be able to go develope the 5 pictures it had taken knowing that 4 of them were probably just moths flying by it at night, it would hardly take pictures at all during the day time which made me not even wanna hunt, so I ended up throwin da SOB in da bayou and just kept on killin deer without it like I always did. lol

I haven't really kept up with em since then, but I see they've come a long ways, and I have a few spots I would like to try them to pattern a few deer for a couple bow stands. I'm looking to buy 2 or 3, but I'm on a serious budget. What's the good, bad, & ugly.... no flashes, IR.

i use the entry level Moultrie digi cams. we have 5 of them and the only complaint i have is that the battery life sux. clear pics day / night and they are real easy to set-up & use. tried the stealth and wildgame cams and they are pieces of chit.

just talked to my little brother. He has a moultrie behind his house on a feeder. I've tried to moon that mofo at least a half dozen times and it never works because of da 1 minute delay. It catches 3 pics back to back of me gettin set up, but before I get my pants down the delay kicks in. lol

Now I know I just gotta stand there & air it out for a minute. lol

best cam for your buck is wildview trail cameras. been using em for a while now. take good pictures and have good trigger speed. and battery life is decent. you can also hook em up to an external power source.

huh... been doin a bunch or readin on it & it seems that even the "IR" cameras produce visible light. Didn't know that.... only way to be absolutely incognito is with "black flash".

i dont know what your budget is but i have a couple of the moultrie game cameras that are right at hundred bucks. and mine dont have the one min delay that yall speak of... maybe its a different model, but when something or someone walks by mine, it goes off. its pretty quick. in fact, i have several pictures of birds as they are flying by that it has capture. good day pics and very good night quality pics as well. mine has the options to set up as a one pic, two burst pics, or three burst.

we're referring to the one minute delay as in one minute after it takes a pic before it takes another pic.
