 Carb set screw needed!!!
Put new heads on the other day. We were adjusting the carb and tried to get the cap off the screw, and broke it. Anybody got a extra laying around. I called hoyt Monday and he said he would get one sent to me, but was needing one in the next two days. Thanks for the help guys!!!

You talking the idle air mixture screws?
BTW- don't cut the caps off, just cut off the limiter arm, very easy and leaves a slot for screwdriver adjust.

 Re: Carb set screw needed!!!
yeah I am sorry didn't know the exact word for it. I though hoyt would have already had one to me, but it didn't happen. I guess my fishing trip is not gonna happen. Would it hurt the motor if they aren't adjusted right and I ran a little while?? Starting it is a little rough and it doesn't run as smooth but will still run.....

 Re: Carb set screw needed!!!
Well never got one from hoyt, so I ordered the idle mixture kit today.. I was wondering if you knew if it was worth modding a stock carb or just spending the money for the mikuni??? Its either modded stock carb and cam or mikuni???

 Re: Carb set screw needed!!!
You can thin the shafts on the stock carb, clean up the intake, add a spacer (if its a horizontal) and get good throttle response out of the stock carb.
I put a BPS cam in mine recently and would recommend that mod with your heads.

 Re: Carb set screw needed!!!
Does anybody know where I can get a idle set screw for a 35hp gator tail??? The kit is on back order through briggs. Probably won't get it till around the 20th if even then... I am about to go crazy.

 Re: Carb set screw needed!!!
I have a few carbs, but my experience sending parts to people on this forum has been pretty poor.

 Re: Carb set screw needed!!!
If you got a screw I could use, i will bring my rig to you. Paying for a part isn't a problem, it is getting it to me. I didn't order a kit for the first week because hoyt said he was sending me one. Well I called him to see and he never returned my phone call. I want this thing running right. It ran better stock than it is right now. Don't mind making a trip, i am working 6 days a week right now, but I get home from work everyday about 5 and am off on sundays.
