 Lowrance GPS map card?
Is anyone here running a Lowrance gps unit? I'm trying to get a new map card for mine. I bought the new HDS5m unit and the card that i had from my old one doesn't cover enough area. I had a friend make that card for me, but now I need one to cover a wider area. Looking for something to cover the entire gulf south costal areas. Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi mostly.
Any suggestions?

 Re: Lowrance GPS map card?
i dont see why you couldnt. buy a card, since its a memory card, stick it in your puter, save the file.. then copy it to another disk.

 Re: Lowrance GPS map card?
i had one of those lowrance eduras and used lowrance's "mapselect" site to get some maps. You can choose the areas you want and download only those areas. they offer both satellite imagery and topo. Thing that sux is that after I downloaded a few of those, my damn unit broke...then got stolen. So some piece of shiot thief got a broken gps.

I have tried to copy the Navionics and you can't. It will save the files on you're computer but when you try to put it on the new card it won't. I think I remember it acting like it did but when I put it in my unit there was nothing on or the unit would not read it.
