 Stopped! The oil has stopped flowing out of the well. Temporarly anyway. Hopefully they can perform all the necessary steps to shut it down completely. Then the relief weels can plug it off.

Re: Stopped! It's great the oil stopped but it's not over yet. Still have to finish the relief well kill the #1 well and cement. Until that is done all you got is a cork in the bottle.
I don't see why they need 48 hours to tell if its leaking or not. Once the pressure stabalizes take a look and get back to drilling.
