aahh.. liek a valley?

I use to work in the reptile dept. at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. Every summer me and the curator would travel to AZ and collect rattlesnakes for the collection. Mainly we caught AZ blacks, ridge-nosed, black tailed and the occasional twin spot. Call us crazy but that was some fun stuff. One of my co-workers got tagged by a 6' canebrake and she was in the hospital for almost a month. The last thing I would want to do is come up on a big eastern like ya got there. They might not have the most potent venom but they have the highest delivery of venom in the states. At least we had anti-venin right there at our fingertips. Out in the middle of nowhere you ain't got a damn thing but the good lord

im 6'1 in this pic.. but as u can tell i still have a foot of tail hanging in my hand. this was taken in del rio texas. he only had 4 rattles. the 5th was broken off halfway.
