I know they have an aluminum clutch cover,but has anyone have any cheaper solutions to protect cover.(is it the pipe or the exhaust fumes that melts cover?)

It is the exhaust coming out that melts the cover, i am the one that makes the aluminum cover, i have the BPS single crossover, pm me lets talk.

It's the exhaust that's blowin striaght onto the plastic housing. You talked about a 90 deg piece before, not really sure if that would work or not. The crossover sits so close to the housing that you can't even run the silencer, but hey, guess ya could give it a shot. Odds are ya gonna end up melting the housing anyhow, but good luck with it.

Man that sucks.I wish i would have known that i could not use silencer.I would'nt have bought it.

Pm take'emgator and get him to send ya a close up pic of his, you can see it in the pic in this link, but looks like it will fit. I remember him tellin me he couldn't run his silencer because of clearence issues, he mighta been talkin about the plastic cover tho.

If i was to use a marshmellow with a metal clutch housing,do i still need to order from GT?

You can order the Marsh Mellow or the BPS from ANY distributor. Chops3131 (SETXPerformance.com) sells both, as well as the aluminum clutch housing.

I know that GT is only selling them for GT's because of heat shield fabrication,but is this the only modification. If so i can slap a clutch box cover and get regular marshmellow.

The only diff is the heat shield. If you buy the aluminum housing you can get the standard mm exhaust or the crossover.
