 Wasp
Anyone ever use Dawn dish soap to kill them. Someone told me to mix Dawn and water in a sprayer and it works. Fixin to tackle the blinds and fight the wasp battle and I usually go through 4 or more cans per blind to kill them all cause the nests are in the old brush.

Engine Bright degreaser works real good and a lot cheaper than wasp spray.

 Re: Wasp
Yes it works, and has nothing to do with "taking the wax off their wings". Soap is a fatty acid that disrupts the cell membranes in insects, so basically their cells leak out and they die rather quickly much like you would if you had massive internal bleeding.

 Re: Wasp
Its that time of year. Knocked one down the size of a dinner plate the other day in my lake blind. I usually have between 5-10 good size nests in each blind to battle.

 Re: Wasp
My daughter said there was a wasp nest on of the deck chairs. I figured it was a little comb starting up. Walked over to the chair and it was as big as a football. I grabbed the chair and threw it off the deck. Wasp spray and a garden hose works too.

 Re: Wasp
Someone needs to roll in the mud and then see if they get stung after messing with the nests. It worked for the dude in Apocalipto.....
