 4 wheeler goo roos
I need some new tires on my 4 wheeler --- I want to put some 25 or 26s on it.
I have a 08 Foreman 500 and I am either going to get Mud Lites or Mud Lite XTRs or Swamp Lites
Any experience with any of these tires?

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
Brad, I'm running the 26" Mud Lites on my 09 Foreman 500. They are awesome tires. You won't be dissapointed.

Had Mudlites. They are to soft. Tear up pretty eaisily.
Maxxis Zillas are the ones to go with.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
brad im runnin 30" mudlite XXL on my rhino, used to have 28" mudlite XL
good tire in my opinion. if u dont trail ride alot on hard ground, they will do u fine. but on harder ground they do wear faster.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
Either the mudlite or the mudlite XTR's i have ran all 3 of the tires your looking at and these 2 are the best, and i have ran them in all sizes. But i would put 26' or 27's you'll be happy with those 2

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
I run 26" swamplites on my Kodiak...I like them because they arent real agressive but get the job done in the mud if your not swamping it. I have had the same set on my fourwheeler for 4 years now. I only use it during deer season so they dont get alot of miles but they are holding up well.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
26" are for pussies Brad i have a set of maxxis zilla's on my kodiak and they are damn good. The good thing about them is they are the lightest tire out there so there was no speed loss. 589's are waaaaay to heavy.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
Do not go with swamplites. They are garbage.
I have ran mudlites on my hunting bikes and are good bikes but have soft tread.
XTR is the tire I would get out of those 3. By the way your bike can handle the 589's easy they just cost more.
I would also look at GBC gators. I had 26's on my old foreman 500 and loved them. Now I have a can am and have 30'' silverbacks. Seriously look at the gator's. They have alot more tires out there then just those 3 tires.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
ran a set of XTR's for a season on my Rhino. Great tire, but was way too aggressive for what i needed. didn't take long for 'em to eat up my trails. switched to the terra cross and i'm very satisfied. runnin' sum 27" pirelli mudweiser's on our 500 honda and they are working out just fine. our 420 is about ready for sum shoes and it'll get sum terra crosses as well.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
i'd go with the gators or the zillas. Or the outlaw is a great tire, and at the small sizes you are talking about they work well on many terrains. ive seen about all of them in action. 589's are good but way heavy. mudlites are way overrated, swamplites are trash.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
OK Im NOT looking for an agressive rough riding mud tire -- Im looking for a good trail tire that will not tear up the roads Im riding. I dont go thru a shit load of mud. I do get into crawfish ponds but they have hard bottoms and my stock tires did fine when they had good tread left on them.
Im kinda leaning to the XTRs

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
gators, 589's or good for some decent mud and good all around tires the mudlites are alright they slick over quick and really dont clean out very well\ executiors pull pretty decent, just stay away from da paddle lol

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
Did you ever get your tires. I have a good friend who can hook you up with anything you need. If you still need them I can send you Ronnie's number. He is here in Port Allen. Sorry I haven't frequented this thread lately and would have responded quicker.

The only thing about the ATs is that its not the deep lugged tires.

 Re: 4 wheeler goo roos
shoulda went swamplites....best thing bout swamplites is they are built with extra rubber then just the size printed on them...meaning you can blow 25" tires almost to 27" and still get away with your size limits in the WMA...of course not gona find them for $250
I'm sure people who dont like swamplites will say "yea blow em up and they will blow up over time" and i say I have had a set of 28" blown to 29.5 for over 5 years and never had single problem. Only reason didnt blow 'em up higher is they are on a '06 foreman 500 with lift and 2" wheel spacers and they still rub a little
you'll be happy with what you got though they will still be better then stock tires
