 EVT website
The evt website seems to be down for some reason would anyone have the number for them. but anyway in yalls opinion is the evt (exhaust, carb, intake) package better than the setx package? Or am i barking up the wrong tree with both companies and need to go else where?

 Re: EVT website
Both companies are good companies using two different carb designs with diffeent intakes. BOth guys are very good people to deal with. I talked to Mike with EVT just yesterday along with keith from SETXPerformance.com. Both guys are bang up kind of people.

 Re: EVT website
Ive called keith at setx a bunch and he always seem's to answer the phone or call you back soon if he misses your call. That goes along way if your having problems with something or any questions. Good guy

 Re: EVT website
I must have caught keith at a busy time or something, i tried to order parts from him and he never called me back. Told me he would get me the prices and give me a call back in 20 min. I called him the next day to see what was going on and he said some parts were on backorder and he would call me back. Well he never did and after a few more days and a few more unreturned calls i called Micah at MB (BPS) and he got the parts to me in 3 days, and was very helpfull. Sounds like im the only one this has happend to..its not a big deal i got the parts on and im very happy with the BPS parts, like i said i must have caught him at a busy time or something.

 Re: EVT website
Phone numbers at evt are: Mike-281-684-0033 Robert- 832-588-4202
Performance on either kit should be pretty similar. I think that BPS offers a newer 45 carb and the 42, but not for certain. I think EVT sells the 42, but if you were hell bent on getting the 45, I bet they could make that happen for you. They would probably explain to you why they prefer one over the other also. Give them a call and find out.

Thx CB- didn't want to waste their time. I have ordered the BPS Mikuni already. Just curious.

 Re: EVT website
Cool, thats interesting. I was under the impression that the 45 was a newer carb. Sounds like the 42 is the way to go though. Thats kinda what I figured because I know them boys at EVT test a lot of stuff and if the 45 was working better, they'd be using it.

 Re: EVT website
I was thinking the same thing and I was surprised, b/c my simple thinking was the 45 would flow better than the 42. But it is not a big deal I doubt the performance would be that much different between the 2.

 Re: EVT website
You never know man. They are having better luck with the lil 33's on the kohlers than they were having with the 38's. They tried putting the 36 briggs carbs on them and modding the stock kohler carbs. Best luck was with the 33's, so thats what the use.
