F'n car jackers!
Need to vent. It's ashame when people don't care about other's property. My Stepdad is working for ESH in St Bernard on the oil spill. Last night he and my mom went to bed. They are staying at a motel in St. Bernard. Well this morning I get a call at 6:15am. I hate early morning calls, it's usually bad news. Well the cops had called them about 2:15am asking if they new where the F350 dully was. It wasn't in the parking lot anymore. Some thief had pryed the passenger door and somehow got it start and went for a joyride. Needless to say the thief totaled it, along with 4 other cars that were parked. Took out a power pole and other stuff along the street. One of the cars were hit so hard it got pushed 100+ yards and it was also totaled. The thief was no where to be found. But they are hoping the security cameras in the parking lot at the motel caught something. I hope the shit that took it is hurt bad and shows up at the hospital. This was the 3rd truck stolen in that area and belonged to people that are working on the spill. As if that all wasn't bad enough, when meeting with the cops, her truck broke down and had to be towed. OK, I'm done.

Re: F'n car jackers!
The worst part about that is his insurance will probably be liable for all the damage to everyone's property that ocurred at the cause of his truck.
That supersucks!

That supersucks!
So if I steal a tank off a military base and go on a demolision derby downtown would da military be liable for all damages and injuries? If sumone stole a gun from my house and used it to kill sumone would I be liable?
if you are white, then yes, you will be liable. white guys are the only killers

Re: F'n car jackers!
Seen pics of the truck and the other vehicles in the accident. Truck is totaled. A 1ton Dully. Front end is 2 feet shorter. The car it hit, is totaled. It still had a paper license on it. That car was shoved 200feet and hit another car that hit another car. In total there were 4 vehicles in it. A powerpole was also on the bad end. It got snapped in half about 8' off the ground. Here are a few details. They used a regular screwdriver to pry open the passenger door, pryed off the key switch and then started the truck. Went one a joy ride from N.O. East off Boullard, all the way over the IC Canal, got off on Louisa, went down the 4 lane road and then hit the car. The only reason people knew something happened, was the electricty went out because of the broke powerpole. No one else was in the other cars. Nothing and I mean nothing was stolen out of the truck. Darryl had a pair of Bussnell bi-noc worth 300, a radio that is worth 500, cash and change in the console, CDs. Nothing was taken. There was no blood, the steering wheel wasn't bent and the windshield was still pretty much intact. A good note, the screwdriver was still in the truck. Everything was fingerprinted but I feel they won't find anything.
Here are a few pics I was sent.

Re: F'n car jackers!
sorry to hear that, but I take it yall didn't know that the Super Duty is the easiest vehicle to break into. If he does get another, look into the device called the Jimmy Jammer.
Got a welder in the shop that went to Houston for work one week. His truck got broke into in a parking lot and the security guy watched it. He thought it was the person who owned the vehicle, the guy got in so quickly WITH THE DOORS LOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alot of people also take either the passenger door latch or the crew cab door latches and replace the driver side latch with it. This eliminates the key hole on the driver door, which is the area that is most prone. One quick hit and the door lock mechanism is sitting inside at the bottom of the door.
