|
 PD 27 Kohler Gonna change the oil in my new(to me) motor but I don't know how much to put back in it. Tried looking online but haven't came up with anything yet

Re: PD 27 Kohler Its not much more than a quart. Just let it drain for a while. Fill it back up to the fill line. Run it for a few seconds and let it fill up the cooler, and check it again.

Re: PD 27 Kohler Instead of running mine, I pull my kill switch lanyard off and then turn the key and let it crank for a few seconds. That way the oil circulates but the engine doesn't fire. Then check your oil level again, add as needed, and you should be good to go.

Re: PD 27 Kohler Changed the oil in my 27 this weekend. Took about 1.75 quarts.
Also went with synthetic oil this time, the engine seems to be running smoother.
