 How do you remove spray paint from the motor?

Post How do you remove spray paint from the motor?
I just bought a 25 hp LT Kohler. The previous owner spray painted the motor camo. I would like to remove the paint and bring it back to a stock look.

Any tips on how to remove paint from the plastic and metal parts?
