My fuken eyes burn like I have dirt in them. It's been about 10 yes since I have had a flash this bad!! Actually had to quit working at 3 due to eyes already burning. Now everytime I close them, it feels like grit is in them. Wish I had some pain pills or something to knock me out .

Someone else welded, and I was doing something else. I guess the glare or reflection is what got me..

if you are around welding alot go ahead and get you some prescription eyedrops. they come in handy!!

Damn dude that sucks. I've been burnt a little and it sucked, I can't imagine a bad burn. Lemme know how the 'giner juice works.

first thing in the morn,go outside and look straight into the sun for a coupla mins without blinking.
or you get someone to drive you to the drugstore,ask for the prescription flash medicine.if your eyes are crying and bloodshot they should give it to you.
you prolly already in pretty tight with the local pharmacist anyway,get the kind thea needs to be refrigerated.keep some in the icebox at all times but dont get no ideas,it has cocaine in it,or some kinda caine,it goes in ya eyes not ya nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks J... Had mine burnt a time or two and it sho aint fun fills just like sand in your eyes.... Go get some of that home made medicine from your grandmother. It wont put you to sleep but it will help with holding your eyes open....

a welder I used to work with used to always have a pack of midol in his truck... well oneday I asked him why and he said that it worked good for flash

might want to try it..

just get the wife to get it from the store for ya lol

Much better this morning !!!!


I ended up finally being able to go to sleep at around 3am. The best feeling was to push on my eyes. Must have been busting the blisters.

Flashes are a bitch. Worst is when you get one from someone else's welding. HAd a few in my welding days. Worst one was while at Conrad under a boat. It was dark and the reflections got me bad. Went to ER and had to wait almost 1hour. They were worried I had shavings or something so they didn't want to put in the tetracain. Well needless to say, I got my's monies worth. Never had to go back for a flash.

J I suggest wearing dark safety glasses when others are welding.

Next time try holding a bag of frozen peas or frozen corn over your eyes, and use an arse load of artificial tears.

Next time it happens get you a potato and mashit up raw where you can pack it on your eyes. This will draw the heat out. I welded for a living many years and learned from two kouzans and a uncle that had welded for 40 years.

or just drink until u pass out (no more pain)
