Post Kohler help needed
I have a Kohler CH15 motor that I mounted on a longshaft frame and it is bogging down too easy under load. The RPMs are fine out of the water. Is there a way to adjust the governor so that it will stop doing this or do I need to disconnect the governor ? I have already performed the governor adjustment (the way the factory told me to) by loosening a nut and pulling the governor arm away from the carb....turning the shaft counterclockwise and tightening the nut (this was already turned as far as it would go counterclockwise). Are governors usually on mud motors ?

Any input will be appreciated.

Good. Motor is new. Kohler tele help is worthless........they don't want tell me what else to do because of warranty issue. I tried to explain to them that I was not concerned about warranty but an engine that would push my boat well.
