On the trailer, Idle different speeds, sometimes 950 somethimes 1200. Push down on the carb linkage with it is running, goes down to 950. Two much play in the linkage. Did any try to put a spring on the linkage to pull the carb back to idle, then adjust the idle afterwards? If so, pictures would be great.

Mine doesn't jump to 1200 but it does jump around a good bit. Haven't messed with it though. So I'd be interested to hear a response also.

mine does the same thing, sometimes idles at 1050 sometime idles at 1300

On my old 35 I added a little more bend to the throttle linkage bar to shorten it slightly so it pegged it on the idle adjustment screw. Can't remember about the 36 linkage though.
