Trim relays craped out again!!! 2010 GTR23
Never fails... Just humidity in my battery box after a rain craps out the trim relays. I can hear them clicking when I engage the trim switch but no trim happening. Does any one have a permanent solution this problem? Don't tell me to install tiller control, I know about that already. I've tried everything...silicon seal, rubberized tape, ziplock bag but it seems just takes the slightest moisture to short the relays.

If you already know about the tiller control, then....what you waiting on?
I dunno if you are gonna be able stop the moisture, and it seems that when something like that starts, it's hard to make it stop.

make sure you fold the excess wires in your battery box, so that the relays are on the top of the box. Drill a hole in the bottom of the battery box so water can drain through. Other than that, maybe put some dielectric grease on the poles to keep from corrosion. But the tiller box will rid all of your problems.

Trim control on the tiller - innovation ?
Is there an OnStar call button too ? Hello - Hello is anyone there - Lol
But seriously - if it is so new that he didn't get it on a 2010 model - how do you know the long term benefits ?

Knock on wood i havent had an issue with my Relays. Same ones from 2008. I always kept them high in the box and I havent had an issue. Slambin had an issue with his once because his relay happend to work its way low in the box and get some salt water in the box and that took out the relay. Changed it and he was back in busines..
You can pout dielectric grease on the teminials, plug it in and electrical tape the hell out of it to make a tight waterproof seal and hope for the best.
