 Re: IORN MOUNTAIN HEADS
I believe: the 45 mag, has pistons and rods, cam, roller rockers, pushrods, stock carb. stock heads the 5000 is a 45 mag with a single mikuni 42mm carb the 6000 is a 45 mag with (originally had twin 30mm carbs) twin 34mm carbs, the 7000 is a 6000 with IM heads, All the above have single or twin exhaust
below are CDI motors.
Black death 4500 has a single 42mm mikuni with IM heads, roller rockers and pushrods Black death 5500 has twin 34mm carbs with IM heads, roller rockers, and pushrods

 Re: IORN MOUNTAIN HEADS
You guys are all wrong.
He asked about Iorn Mountain heads, not Iron Mountain. They're easily confused.

 Re: IRON MOUNTAIN HEADS
Chops, do the pistons and billet rods produce any additional power or are they just to make the engine stronger inside? Do you think that if you add a cam to a Black Death 5500 it would produce the same power as a 7000 since everything on both engines would be almost identical with the exception of the rods, pistons, and rev limit? Or is it possible that the stock rods and pistons won't hold up?
I know the BD 5500 is limited to 4300 rpm so just assume it wasn't before you answer.

 Re: IORN MOUNTAIN HEADS
Guess I'll jump in on this thread with my question.
Are the Iron Mountain heads a core purchase? Meaning, do I have to send my stock heads back if I buy the IM heads?

 Re: IRON MOUNTAIN HEADS
it appears to me that the im heads have stock valve seats in them that have been angle ground and opened up on i.d. then a larger valve, and ports cleaned up.[/quote]
So fowl, do they have stock seats?

 Re: IORN MOUNTAIN HEADS
You all ripping this guy about spelling is a great example of why I visit this site less and less these days. Half the threads are like a schoolyard argument in grade school.
These type of posts have turned this site into at least 50% bullshit. The nuggets of wisdom I extract aren't worth wading through it to get.
Answer the man's question and leave the kiddie comments aside.
